Our Journey

Notes in Time Singers is the choral project of All Primetimers, Inc. All Primetimers, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity and is registered as a non-profit by the Maryland Secretary of State. NotesinTimeSingers/All Primetimers earned a Silver level GuideStar rating.
-
Our group is made up of singers who are both experienced beginners. When preparing for a performance, we rehearse via schedule in person every other Sunday at 2pm at the Leisure World of Maryland Interfaith Chapel. Otherwise, rehearsals take place via Zoom on Tuesday evenings. Newcomers are always welcome and experience is not necessary. We have a director and coaching and other help is provided as needed for those who do not read music.

-
During the Covid-19 pandemic, our choir remained open to all members of the community, including Alzheimer's and dementia persons, caregivers, friends, and neighbors. We rehearsed online and performed virtually. Our music currently includes show tunes, pop music and inspirational songs that uplift the spirit. The tunes are memorable to all listeners and accessible to all singers.
-
During rehearsals or in person visits, we lead the residents in singing old, familiar, happy, upbeat songs that can be remembered by most participants. In applicable seasons, we include holiday songs. Over the years the response of the residents has been enthusiastic.
-
Since its formation, the AllPrimetimers Inc dba Notes in Time Singers continues to offer persons with dementia and their caregivers, hybrid opportunities to join with us in our sing-alongs or participating in the group music in person aided by experts who make such presentations on "Caring for the Caregiver" to benefit the well-being and supportive self-care tips to caregivers..
-
All Primetimers provides two main activities:
-
providing opportunities for persons with mild to moderate dementia and Alzheimer’s and offering them the experience and mood-building fellowship of singing in a performing choir, and
-
We make visits to offer sing-alongs or performances at nursing homes, memory care and long-term care residential facilities to boost morale, support memory and respite for the caregivers.
-

What We Do
-
We also provide essential care for caregivers. Most caregivers are unpaid family members or friends who suffer from serious health and financial issues resulting from the stress of caregiving. Many die before those for whom they care. We provide moments of relief from the worries of care.
